There are 28 Karna Roga described in Astang Ayurved. From 28 Karna Roga, Karna Strav is one distinguished by ear discharge. This condition is linked to Acute Suppurative Otitis Media. Modern medicine mentions several therapeutic modalities. However, discharge from the ear may be reduced or stopped by following therapy; if not, surgical treatment is the sole option to treat. In many cases, discharge reappears after surgical treatment thereby causing hearing problems. Aacharya Shushrut outlined various processes for Karna Strav in Samhita, including Shirovirechan, Karna Dhupan, Karna Puran, Karna Pramarjan, and Karna Dhavan. For Karna Strav, Karna Dhupan is the choice of treatment. Acharya Charaka had mentioned that the treatment of Karnasrava should be done accordingly to the Vrana Kriya (wound management). In Karna Strav, one type of Vran occurs in tympanic membrane and then discharge occurs. If Karna Strav considered as Vran in the tympanic membrane and Rakshoghna Dhup as Vrana Dhupan, it may substitute Rakshoghna Dhup for Karnadupan in Karna Strav. To find out the efficacy of Rakshoghna Dhupan in the management of Karna Strav, a case report of 44-year-old female patient with chief complaints of Karna Gauravata (heaviness in both the ears), Karna Shul (mild pain), Karna Strav (purulent discharge) from both the ears associated with Karna Shravan Alpata (reduced hearing), Karna Avidhyaman Dhvani Shruti (ringing sound), Karna Kandu (itching), Nasa Strav (watery discharge from nose) and Shiro Gauravta (heaviness of head) in recurrent condition was reported here. The main objective of treatment should be to eliminate the Eustachian tube obstruction, ventilate the middle ear cleft, and regulate the secretions. Oral systemic medication was also used. Karnasrava was induced by Vata Dosha, according to our ancient literature. Karna dhoopana not only dries out the Srava, but it also inhibits the growth of microorganisms. Ayurvedic medications can treat the condition known as Karnasrava, which has been around since ancient times and is co-related to acute suppurative otitis media. The ingredients of Rakshoghna Dhup, including Guggal, Agru, Sarjras, Vacha, Gaursarshap, Nimba Patra, and Aja Ghrit, aid to reduce ear discharge. The outcomes of treatment are encouraging which proves that Ayurvedic medications offer durable and risk-free advantages.
2023-12-28T10:56:37+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of AYUSH: Ayurveda, Yoga,Unani ,Siddha and Homeopathyhttps://medicaljournals.stmjournals.in/index.php/JoAYUSH/article/view/3335Critical Analysis Of Brahmacharya In The Context Of Yoga For Spiritual Upliftment: A Perspective Review2024-02-01T09:42:00+00:00Dalip Kumargurudeoyoga15@gmail.comBandana Sairemgurudeoyoga15@gmail.comGuru Deogurudeoyoga15@gmail.com
INTRODUCTION
Brahmacharya, often translated as celibacy or sexual abstinence, is one of the fundamental tenets in traditional yogic philosophy. In the context of Yoga for spiritual upliftment, this review critically analyzes the concept of brahmacharya. It delves into various interpretations and practices associated with brahmacharya, acknowledging that it extends beyond mere sexual abstinence to encompass the control and moderation of all senses and desires. It also discusses
the modern-day interpretations of brahmacharya, considering the evolving societal norms and the individual’s ability to adhere to its principles.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Relevant publications were gathered for this review from online databases like Google Scholar, PubMed, and NCBI. Additionally, related texts on celibacy and brahmacharya were also taken into consideration for the review purposes.
RESULTS
After analyzing all the studies related to brahmacharya and celibacy, it is found that both the terms are used in various traditions. While celibacy is considered one aspect of brahmacharya, the term ‘brahmacharya’ has a boarder perspective in context of Yoga and Indian tradition. The interpretations may be different but the goal of both practice of celibacy and brahmacharya is found to be quite similar which is moderation and control of senses and impulse to gain concentration that leads to spiritual growth.

CONCLUSION
Thus, the current review offers a comprehensive analysis of brahmacharya, shedding light on its multifaceted nature and providing insights for practitioners seeking spiritual upliftment through the practice of Yoga.
2023-11-28T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of AYUSH: Ayurveda, Yoga,Unani ,Siddha and Homeopathyhttps://medicaljournals.stmjournals.in/index.php/JoAYUSH/article/view/3336Unlocking The Secrets Of Asbab-E-Sitta Zaruriyya: Unani Medicine's Key To Human Fitness2024-02-01T09:42:00+00:00Sana Maimoonasanaansari23101995@gmail.comAkhtar Husain Choudharysanaansari23101995@gmail.comMohd Furqan Ahmad Patelsanaansari23101995@gmail.comMohd Moazzamsanaansari23101995@gmail.comMariyam Shaikhsanaansari23101995@gmail.com
The Unani system of medicine, also known as Graeco-Arabic medicine, draws its roots from the teachings of renowned Greek physician Hippocrates and Roman physician Galen. Over time, it evolved into a comprehensive medical system during the medieval era under the guidance of Arabian and Persian physicians such as Rhazes (al Razi), Avicenna (Ibn-e-Sina), Al-Zahrawi, and Ibn Nafis. Often referred to as the “Father of Unani medicine”, Buqrat (Hippocrates) hailed from a lineage connected to Aesculapius. With its origins in Greece approximately 2500 years ago, Unani medicine predominantly relies on herbal remedies (around 90%), with a smaller proportion of animal-based (4– 5%) and mineral-based (5–6%) treatments. Among its diverse content, the text delineates the importance of ahara, categorizing it into drava varga (liquid food items) and anna varga (solid food items). Acharya Sushruta described ksheer, ghrita, taila, ikshu, madhu etc., under the category of drava varga in chapter number 45 while shali, shashtika, kudhanya, mamsa, phala, shaka, lavana etc., mentioned under category of anna varga in chapter number 46 of Sushruta Samhita. Under anna varga, the Phala varga or the group of fruits holds significance, offering insights into their properties and indications for health and medical conditions. In the span of 4000 years, the consumption and understanding of fruits have undergone substantial changes. Fruits once commonplace, such as bhavya, ankola, and airavata, have faded from contemporary consumption, replaced by novel entrants such as kiwi, dragon fruit, and avocado etc. Elevating Ayurvedic wisdom through systematic review and scientific integration is an optimistic call to action. It encourages collaborative efforts to celebrate the synergy between traditional knowledge and modern advancements, fostering a positive and comprehensive approach to health and wellness. Due to lack of knowledge regarding identification, usage, habitat, distribution and benefits, some fruits remain unexplored. In the present study, effort has been made to review and compile the 85 fruits described in Sushruta Samhita according to its Rasa pradhanata so that information regarding them can be used to identify authentic botanical source and their health benefits. Phala varga of Sushrut Samhita encompasses 85 edible fruits and highlights their use to maintain health.
2023-12-28T10:54:08+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of AYUSH: Ayurveda, Yoga,Unani ,Siddha and Homeopathyhttps://medicaljournals.stmjournals.in/index.php/JoAYUSH/article/view/3338Ayurvedic management of Recurrent Pneumonia in child – A single case study2024-02-01T09:42:00+00:00Ankita Pahaladbhai Patelpatelankita8743@gmail.comDas Ashok Kumar Nathulalpatelankita8743@gmail.comHaresh Vyaspatelankita8743@gmail.comThe general term “pneumonia” describes lung infections that result in air sac inflammation. Pneumonia is most frequently caused by bacteria, fungi, parasites, viruses, etc. In children, Streptococcus pneumoniae is mainly responsible for bacterial pneumonia. When someone coughs or sneezes, they release airborne droplets that can infect the lungs of children and spread pneumonia. The pneumonia-causing bacteria and viruses that are commonly found in a child's throat or nose can spread it further. Pneumonia may spread through blood, particularly during and right after childbirth. Typically, pneumonia in children occurs after a upper respiratory tract infection, flu, or cold. Most healthy kids recover from pneumonia in 2–3 weeks, but occasionally kids get sick and need to be hospitalized. Pneumonia can be a very serious illness in kids with compromised immune systems or other medical issues. Worldwide, majority of paediatric fatalities are caused by infectious diseases. In 2019, out of 740 pediatric deaths, 180 were from pneumonia, which accounted for 14% of all pediatric deaths in that age group. About 22% of all pediatric deaths were reported in children of 1–5 years. An estimated 3.3 million cases of pneumonia were reported in India in the year 2021. In the present case study, a patient was presented with two episodes of pneumonia at the age of 1.5 years. Ayurvedic medicines such as Tribhuvanakeerti Rasa, Suvarnamalini Vasant, and Kantakaryavalehya were given to the patient. The patient was benefited in symptomatic complaints within five months of treatment.2023-12-28T10:50:07+00:00Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of AYUSH: Ayurveda, Yoga,Unani ,Siddha and Homeopathy
