Abstract

The aim of this research work was to increase the solubility of poorly water soluble drugs by the mixed solvency method. This method is used for the proper pharmacological response. There are some techniques used for enhancing the solubility of poorly water soluble drugs. The recent trend possess that hydrotropic solution having high demand in industry because of some of its ideal features like easily available, having good recovery, does not have any hazards and has higher separation factors. In this method, there is no problem of solute emulsification and having eco-friendly nature. In the hytropypic methods, solubility is enhanced by using several compounds as solvents like sodium benzoate, sodium citrate, urea, niacinamide and many more. Mixed solvency has some other advantages like that it does not require modification like chemical modification of hydrophobic drugs, organic nature of solvents etc. The conclusion of this research work to enhance the solubility of poorly water soluble organic molecule.
