Anshula Deshpande, Chirag Macwan, Urvashi Sudani

Abstract

Management of dental caries in children using minimally invasive procedures has great importance. For this, various methods have been proposed such as chemo-mechanical methods for caries removal; Carisolv is one of them. The chemo-mechanical method of cavity preparation is considered to be less painful when compared to the traditional treatment method especially in children. In the present article is illustrated the case of a young girl in whom chemo-mechanical caries removal was done. It was determined that chemo-mechanical removal of caries was found to be an effective measure of caries removal and could be considered as an alternative to painful procedures like the traditional drill in management of dental caries especially in children.
