Sublingual Dermoid Cyst: Case Report
Abstract
Dermoid cysts are rare masses of the oral cavity derived from ectodermal elements. In the present case, the lesion in the floor of the mouth showed soft consistency, floating, regular borders, smooth surface, and the same color as the adjacent mucosa, asymptomatic and measuring 4×4 cm in its greatest diameter, the mass was completely excised through an intraoral approach, the histological features were suggestive of dermoid cyst, the patient did well postoperatively and no recurrence was seen during follow up.
