Transport Mediums for Avulsed Tooth: A Review

Kritika Shetty

Abstract

Abstract

Dental avulsion is a consequence of injury that results in the complete displacement of a tooth from its alveolar socket. When dental avulsion occurs; immediate replantation at the trauma site is the ideal procedure for maintaining the viability of PDL cells. However, immediate replantation is rarely achieved. The type of storage medium used for avulsion affects the prognosis of tooth replantation. As a result of the critical role of these storage media, an informed choice of a suitable medium is essential for successful replantation.
