Functional orthopaedic treatment seeks to correct malocclusion and harmonize the shape of dental arch and orofacial function. Correcting class II malocclusion is always challenging as it has complex and multifactorial aetiology. Age of patients and appliance selection plays an important role in the overall outcome of the treatment. Stable results in class II patients have been achieved with growth modification using functional appliances. An orthodontist has wide variety of fixed and removable appliance for treating a class II malocclusion. In this review article an attempt has been made to review various available fixed functional appliances.
