A Study on the Effectiveness of Positional Release Therapy in the Management of Trapezitis
Abstract
Objectives: The objective of the study was to compare the effectiveness of positional release therapy in the management of trapezitis. Study Design: The study design was pre-test, post-test and comparative study design. Method: Random sampling method was used. 10 subjects in Group-A received ultrasound therapy and 10 subjects in Group-B received positional release therapy along with ultrasound therapy. Tool Used: Visual analog scale was used to measure the pain intensity. Results: Statistical analysis done using paired “t” test showed that there is significant difference in reduction of pain in Group-B who received positional release therapy along with ultrasound therapy. Conclusion: Positional release therapy along with ultrasound therapy is effective than ultrasound therapy alone in the management of trapezitis.
