Immunity with Herbs
Abstract
Biologically immunity is a state in which organism have biological defense to fight infection, disease or another biological invasion. Immunity is of two types, it can be innate or acquired; innate immunity is natural while acquired is not natural. There are many sign and symptoms linked with immunodeficiency, which includes recurrent infections, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, cold and flu, cold sores, etc. Poor functioning of immune system is caused by factors, like fast paced, stressed life, unhealthy lifestyle, imbalanced diet, with insufficient nutritional intake. There are many herbal formulations available, ingredients of which includes asgand, neem, amla and gilo. All four herbs mentioned are good immunomodulators; they help in increasing immunity, fighting diseases like cough and cold. They are good antioxidants, stress busters and nervine tonic. Therefore, it can be said herbal immunomodulators are effective as they do not have any side effect and can be consumed safely.
