Abstract

Helicobacter pylori accounts for more than half of the world population in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer. The incidence of gastric cancer among patients with H. pylori infection is 2.7–6 times more than normal. Recently, it has been a worldwide trend to verify the existence of H. pylori using endoscope among all the patients with complaints of digestive abnormality and then introduce anti-cancer therapy with antibacterial therapy from an early stage for the patients positive for H. pylori infection. We have studied to identify the incidence of the pathological indications of gastric cancer with H. pylori infection. We have taken requested 370 subjects obtained from gastric cancer operations in the Department of Pathology in Pyongyang Medical College of Kim IL Sung University, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from March 2011 to May 2019. We have macroscopically observed the subjects of early and progressive stage gastric cancer and then decided the positive for H. pylori infection by silver staining. Finally, we have microscopically observed them under H-E staining. We have performed the study with χ2-test for the values indicated by “%”. Gastric cancer with H. pylori infection accounts for more proportion in early-stage type III, progressive-stage type and Ⅳ, and the one of which size is more than 2 cm as well as tubular and mucous adenocarcinoma. The incidence of gastric cancer with H. pylori infection varies according to macroscopic and histological indications and the size of cancer.
