Abstract

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) case was first registered on 17th November 2019. Since then there has been an up-scale of cases and this pandemic has risen like never before all over the world. Since, this disease has not been seen before, so there has been no proper treatment and proper vaccination for people. Ever since the pandemic started, the researchers and scientists started working for developing vaccine for the treatment of COVID-19. In spite of research being done by scientists and researchers, currently no treatment is specifically approved for COVID-19. Some of the researchers have suggested to use quinine derivatives i.e. hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and chloroquine as temporary vaccines. The hydroxychloroquine came into the picture due to its occurrence and action during malaria. It is an anti-malaria drug that has helped in past in curing this disease. Use of hydroxychloroquine for treatment of COVID-19 has several issues however, its positive effect outweigh the negative effect that the patient will have. Another issue is if it can be used then whether the world is equipped with so much of stock to cure the rising COVID-19 victims. Many researchers have been working on the efficaciousness of hydroxychloroquine however the effect of hydroxychloroquine is yet to be seen. Also, there has been no clinical evidence for hydroxychloroquine as of now. Efforts are being made to support universal decision of clinic and laboratories for the faster attainment of a vaccine. Besides presenting hypothesis, experimenting and providing a better solution is need of hours. This work is a thorough study on experimental ideas and finding out whether hydroxychloroquine is an effective method of treating corona virus patients.
