Future of Nanomedicine: “Magnetic Nanoparticles”

Mansi P. Rajyaguru

Abstract

Abstract

Nowadays, according to research nanotechnology is leading in the field of research and development. An urgency is raised in nanomaterials for the development of biomedical which is greatly been fulfilled by magnetic nanoparticles. It has become a research hotspot in the field of nanomedicine due to its chemical, physical and unique magnetic property. They are obtained in both mineral world and living organisms for example magnetotactic bacteria. Even humans employ iron inside the body as an essential metal. It is been stored inside the body in a well-defined protein shell named ferritin which is 5 to 7 nm hydrous Magnetic nanoparticles have a great impact on grounds of analytical chemistry, nanomedicine, and biosensing. An up-to-date overview of its history and concept of magnetic nanoparticles and guidance to its properties and recent applications in medicine, genetic engineering, biomedical imaging, and magnetic hyperthermia for cancer treatment is been reviewed.
