Abstract

Bacillus clausii is a universally occurring beneficial bacteria. It is gram-positive, spore forming, lactic acid producing probiotic. Bacillus clausii are support the growth of friendly bacteria and help maintain a healthy balance of microflora in the intestinal environment. A study was carried out on inhibitory effects of Bacillus clausii on growth of some pathogens isolated from clinical specimens of pathogens selected for this study were Candida albicans isolated from blood and urine samples of patients. Results showed that Bacillus clausii produced good antimicrobial activity against Candida albicans
