Carcinoma Penis in Previously Circumscribed Male: A Case Report

Abstract


Mr. PN 75yrs/m  noticed a  small ulcer over glans penis 4 months back, gradually increased in size eroding glans and became fungating mass. History of scanty bloody & pus discharge. History of burning sensation while passing urine frequently. No premorbid illnesses. No abdominal complaints. No swellings in the both groin regions. Previously 8months back patient was circumscribed in a local hospital but details not available. Examination revealed a foul smelling fungating ulcer of size 4x3cms present over glans with everted margins eroding glans penis. Induration present upto 0.5cm from growth and bleeds on touch. Thick pus discharge resent from growth. External urethral meatus could not visualized. Non-significant inguinal nodes present. No mass per abdomen.Patient was admitted and investigations revealed normal haemogram with urinary infection. USG abdomen & pelvis showed small bilateral inguinal nodes, no pre/para aortic LN, CT abdomen & pelvis - no retroperineal nodes, small reactive inguinal nodes, Biopsy from growth showed well differentiated SCC. Patient was treated for UTI and underwent Partial Penectomy under spinal anaesthesia.
