Management of Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD)/ Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) by Intervention of Ayurveda & Yoga

Abstract


Ayurveda is the traditional medical system based on the concept that good health that is achieved through the balance between body, mind, and spirit. The balance is based on Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Food and daily lifestyle are essential for good health, but the disturbance in these leads to problems such as Polycystic ovarian syndrome/ Polycystic ovarian disease. Ayurveda is the only system that cures Polycystic ovarian disease through cyst dissolution. Polycystic ovarian syndrome/ Polycystic ovarian disease is generally a Kapha disorder and occur due to poor lifestyle, obesity, and stress. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a metabolic disorder and can lead to fertile problem in women. Among women of
reproductive age, polycystic ovarian syndrome/polycystic ovarian disease is arguably the health risk that is growing the fastest. Ayurveda approach is more suitable than modern science suggesting various treatment procedures for the management of polycystic ovarian syndrome/polycystic ovarian disease including management of wrathful daily regimen that is usually based on herbs, diet, and lifestyle modifications including yoga and meditation.
