Role of Vaman and Virechan in Psoriasis

Abstract

Nowadays the treatment of skin disorders has become very tough. Like other skin diseases, Psoriasis is also a troublesome disease, which has many folds effects on patients’ health. While various researches have been made in the field of Medical Science, but still there is no absolute, simple, safe and invariably effective permanent cure of Psoriasis has been attained. In Ayurveda a special treatment advocated for Skin disorders, i.e., Shodhan Chikitsa or Panchakarma. From Shodhan Chikitsa, Vaman and Virechan are the two very commonly adopted procedures in skin patients. As studies shows that Vaman an Virechan have a very good result on Psoriasis. To check the recurrence of Psoriasis one should has to perform Shodhan Chikitsa for longer duration.
