Abstract

Unani system of medicine (USM) is a rich source of medicinal herbs, used from centauries. The versatility and richness of USM is due to interaction of various treatment system, where the Unani physicians and scholars have not only included the drugs from other herbal medicines but has lead a new ways and dimensions of experiments and therapeutic uses of such herbs. Mundi is one of the herbs, which has been used from centauries in Unani as well as Ayurvedic medicine for its various therapeutic properties. In the present review paper, a comprehensive review will be presented on the basis of USM as well as recent scientific reports
