Structured Teaching Programme on Knowledge Regarding Dengue Fever
Abstract
Background: A study was conducted in a selected area of Jalandhar, Punjab to assess the level of awareness among women regarding dengue fever. As part of the study, an informational guide sheet was prepared.To determine the level of women awareness of dengue fever, a study was undertaken in this selected area of Jalandhar, Punjab to prepare and information guide sheet was undertaken. Objective: (1) To assess the pre-test knowledge score of women regarding dengue fever in selected area community District. Jalandhar,Punjab. (2) To assess the post-test knowledge score of women regarding dengue fever in selected area community District. Jalandhar, Punjab. (3) To compare pre-test and post-test knowledge score of women in selected area community District. Jalandhar, Punjab. (4) To find out the association between the pre-test and post-test knowledge score of women on dengue fever in selected area community District. Jalandhar, Punjab. Methodology: This study used a one group pre- test post- test design, 60 peoples from Chak muglani, Nakodar, Jalandhar, Punjab, were studied. For the research, we employed a method called “random sampling’’” to choose our participants. The researcher designed a structured knowledge questionnaire with 30 multiple choice questions in order to obtain the necessary information. Statistics, both descriptive and inferential, are used to examine the data.
