A Study on the Effectiveness of Positional Release Therapy in the Management of Trapezitis
Abstract
Objectives: To compare the effectiveness of positional release therapy in the management of trapezitis. Study Design: The study design was pretest, posttest and comparative study design. Method: Random sampling method. 10 subjects in group-A received ultrasound therapy and 10 subjects in group-B received positional release therapy along with ultrasound therapy. Tool Used: Visual analog scale to measure the pain intensity. Results: Statistical analysis done using paired “t” test showed that there is significant difference in reduction of pain in group-B who received positional release therapy along with ultrasound therapy. Conclusion: Positional release therapy along with ultrasound therapy is effective than ultrasound therapy alone in the management of trapezitis.
Keywords: Random sampling method, release therapy, ultrasound therapy, statistical analysis, ‘t’ test
