Abstract

It is imperative to save a functionable tooth rather than sacrificing it. A thought must be given to salvage a failing endodontically treated tooth. The article presents endodontic retreatment of a maxillary first premolar with intra-oral sinus. Locating and treating the second canal coupled with Ca(OH)2intra-canal dressing assisted in achieving the required success. A successful endodontic retreatment enhances dentist’s confidence and patient’s trust concomitantly avoiding psychological trauma of surgical intervention.
