Schizophrenia: A Mental Illness: General Review w.s.r. to Aetiology

Abstract


Mental disability has become one of the most dreadful conditions across the world. It is prevalent in almost each and every society and creates enormous social and economic burden. Mental illness is characterized by disturbances in a person’s emotions, thoughts, or behavior. The term mental illness (mental disability) includes wide variety of disorders, ranging from mild distress to severe impairment of social and occupational functioning. Schizophrenia is a chronic and inarguably one of the most debilitating psychiatric syndromes.
