Abstract

The present research deals with the “Role of River Beehar Water for Health and Drinking Purpose in Winter Season of Rewa City, Madhya Pradesh, India” during the year of 2018‑19. All the physical and chemical parameters of river water samples were analyzed within the prescribed limits as suggested by the World Health Organization (WHO), Indian Standard Institute (ISI) and Bureau of Indian standards (BIS) for drinking water standard and chemicals of health significance as described by World Health Organization Guidelines. Various physical and chemical parameters like temperature, turbidity, colour, odour, pH value, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, total alkalinity chloride, nitrate, total dissolved solids, iron, sulphate, fluoride, manganese etc. were analysed. All the parameters of the water sample were present in desirable or not desirable limits for drinking purpose and health significance.
