POST SIDE EFFECTS AND PERCEPTION TOWARDS COVID-19 VACCINATION AMONG GENERAL PUBLIC - A CROSS SECTIONAL STUDY

Almost 1.7 million people have died as a result of the global pandemic known as COVID-19 (coronary virus disease in 2019). There was no question that the best course of action to take is immunization. A few COVID-19 vaccines have been created and approved in less than a year. Several questions about the effectiveness and safety of these vaccinations remained unanswered as a result of this unprecedented effort in vaccine development. Aim: This study aimed to assess the Post side effects of Covid-19 vaccination and perceptions towards COVID-19 vaccination among general public Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional research was conducted among150 general public. The questionnaire was pre-designed and pre-tested. Information was gathered on Socio-demographic profile, Covid vaccination details, post covid-19 vaccination side effects and perception towards Covid-19 vaccination. The data were statistically evaluated using Differential statistics. Results: The majority of the respondents' responses indicated that body pain (38.7%) was the most prevalent symptom, which was followed by headache and fever (16%), exhaustion and tiredness (14.6%), and discomfort at the injection site (7.3%). When it comes to the Covid-19 vaccination, 72% of the individuals already had the virus before receiving the vaccine, and of them, 74.7% had the Covishield shot. 65.3% of those individuals received a single dose of the Covid -19 virus vaccination. Overall, 70.1% of the subjects had positive perceptions of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Conclusion: The most frequent side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine were identified in this study, making them predictable. The availability of booster doses will be aided by this information in lowering vaccine reluctanceReferences
