Critical Thinking in Nursing: A Critical Review

Abstract


This critical review article was investigated the need and use of critical thinking in nursing. The review focused to assess the current critical thinking practice status of nurses and the usefulness of critical thinking in the patient care. The study tried to recognize various methods to teach critical thinking skill practice to students and also identify the areas which a student can practice critical thinking skills in collegiate studies. The method used to collect data is literatures which was published in the open resourses from different countries. The results of the study suggested to initiate the critical thinking practices from the student period, so they can utilize their practice knowledge directly to patient care. The article concluded that critical thinking is a useful tool for all the nurses and it should practice well for saving both the critical time and patients life.
