Change of Capacitance in Cancerous Cell
Abstract
Cancer is a genetic disease. It is characterized by out of control growth of cell. It harms the body with its uncontrollable growth. Tumors that do not spread and show limited growth are generally considered to be benign. More dangerous are malignant tumors which can manage to divide and grow. They may be very dangerous and may cause death. Early detection of the disease helps in treatment and may save life. The present detection techniques are very time consuming and costly. In this paper the authors try to bring under notice that malignant cells have a very different electrical property then a normal cell. The electrical property of malignant cell of the subject can be measured to diagnose the disease. A very simple and novel method is being introduced to identify malignant cells easily. Due to change in chemical and salt of malignant cells it was observed that their capacitance ratio shows a unique rise at particular frequency whereas there is no such change observed in normal cells. To verify the observation same experiment was carried out in 15 various samples from different patients. The frequency ranging from 0–1200 Hz was applied to each sample (normal or malignant). The value of capacitance ratio is also different. In case of normal cell it is ranging from 0.1 to 0.8, while in case of malignant cell it is ranging from 0.02 to 0.1.
