Abstract

A 50 year old female patient came with complaint of right nasal obstruction with mass since 1 year, followed by nasal bleed since 5 months. On lifting the tip of nose, mass was seen in right nasal cavity near the anterior septum. On anterior rhinoscopy, mass was found to be present at right anterior nasal septum obstructing half of the nasal cavity. Lateral wall appeared normal and opposite nostrils were normal. CT-24×14 mm mass was found in right nasal fossa, anteriorly towards septum. Biopsy was done suggestive of adenoid cystic carcinoma. Adenoid cystic carcinoma is uncommon, and that too of the nasal cavity. The cases of the adenoid cystic carcinoma involving the nasal cavity usually involve the lateral wall and the involvement of the anterior nasal fossa of nasal septum is extremely rare. Thus the presentation of this uncommon disease is discussed here.
