To evaluate the different extracts of Celosia argentea seeds for skeletal muscle relaxant activity using different model of muscle grip. The skeletal muscle relaxant activity was carried out using Rota rod model in mice. Petroleum ether, ethanol and aqueous extracts had shown more significant activity by decrease in the fall of time. This activity may due to the phytochemical present in the extracts which were found in primary crude extract analysis.
Keywords: Celosia argentea, diazepam, rota rod, diarrhea, depressant
