If health is there then all the measures are to be taken to keep it in healthy state, similarly if the disease has occurred then all possible measures are to be taken to revert that condition to achieve health. There are various factors responsible for any of the above conditions, some are very essential for the survival and some shows their impact when one comes in touch with those factors. On this basis they are mainly categorized into two; Essential/efficient factors and non-essential/ co-efficient factors. Essential factors are six in number that why called as Asbab sitta zaruriya. The importance of essential factors as a basic principles of Unani medicine are very much known to all the Unani scholars, researchers and academicians. These are the factors one cannot escape from them throughout their life. Numerous articles could be found regarding Asbab sitta zaruriya but another equally important factor/s i.e., non-essential or co-efficient factors are lacked behind. Numerous factors are there which at one or the other point of time in life comes in contact to a person and shows their impact on human body. In this review article a detailed description will be given to highlight the importance of these co-efficient factors. They are not necessary for the survival but plays an important role in maintaining or creating a required state of the body. Even the need of the efficient factors (quantity and quality) depends on these co-efficient factors.
