Manavalakalai Yoga practice was formulated by Shri. Vethathiri Maharishi. In this yoga practice meditation and introspection play vital role to minimize mental frequency. The physical senses of the body are always affected by one’s mental activities. That is, the body is induced and activated to function on every level according to one’s thought. Every human being is a bio magnetic unit. Life means action, energy, or force. Body and Sprit are both functioning jointly in man. The spirit is the life- force, the storehouse of all Karmas, of heredity. All the activities of man-thoughts, speech and deeds are centered upon the sensations of pleasure and pain. Harmonious flow of bio-magnetism causes pleasure, peace, and ecstasy. Magnetism is the invisible quantum of force, when it is transformed in a living being into waves of pleasure, sound, light, taste, smell and mind. In addition to realization of God, realization of mind is equally imperative. The functions of the mind and the body are interdependent. In the compression and magnification of all bio magnetic waves of experiences of mind, the frequencies play their important role. The speed and force of a wave condition the length of each cycle. The number of cycles per second is noted as the ‘frequency’ of the wave. The human mental frequency works from 14 to 40 cycles per second when one perceives with the senses, engaged in the deeds and enjoying or suffering their result like pain, pleasure etc. Meditation and Introspection make the mind wave focused inwardly and reduce the frequencies of mind. Thus both Meditation and Introspection practices will enable one to understand the value of one’s own existence.
