K. Vara Prasathbabu

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to evaluate the efficacy of laughter therapy as a stress reduction technique for employees in a specific industry located in Madurai. The study employed an evaluative research approach and adopted a research design known as the one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants in this study were individuals working in the garments industry within the age range of 20 to 45 years. The sample size consisted of 60 employees, and they were selected using a convenient sampling technique, which means participants were chosen based on ease of access and availability. The scientists employed the Job Stress Inventory scale to assess the stress levels of the individuals. After collecting the necessary data, the analysis and interpretation were conducted using both descriptive and inferential statistics, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the impact of laughter therapy on stress reduction among the selected employees in the Madurai garments industry.
