Sadyo-Vaman in Sub-Acute Stage of Chronic Bronchial Asthma: Case Report
Abstract
A 26-year-old, unmarried, non-smoking, non-alcoholic male patient has been suffering from bronchial asthma since last six years. The symptoms usually used to remain mild to moderate with 2 to 3 episodes of acute attack per year. Patient was often on allopathic medications to subside the symptoms. There was mild cough with white expectoration, recurrent attack of sneezing, running nose and little breathlessness since last 2 days. After examination it was found to be a case of sub-acute asthma. Patient was planned for Sadyo-Vamana followed by some oral medications. After Sadyo-Vamana, the patient had significant relief on the symptoms. Recurrence was not noted upto follow-up period. Sadyo-Vamana may be useful in the management of asthma during sub-acute episodes.
