A Clinical Study to Evaluate the Efficacy of Nagara Ksheera Nasya in the Management of Ardhavabhedaka w.s.r. to Migraine

Abstract


Amavata is a disease which affects multiple joints as well as all other body system. It occurs throughout world in all climate and all ethical group. Vata and Ama are the two main pathological factor of Amavata. In Amavata Balance of Vata dosh disturbed due to srotorodh (blocking of channels)by Aam. The symptoms of Amavata described in text is articular as well as extraarticular. Clinical feature of Amavata such as pain, swelling, stiffness, fever, general disability are more identical mentioned in classical texts. Inclassics, Treatment mentioned in Amavata is Deepan, Pachan, Shodhan, Shaman Snehapan,Vaitaran Vasti,Virechan etc. Among them Vaitaran Vasti after Virechan is very effective in the patient of Aamvata.Gomutra is the main content of the Vaitarna Vasti. Gomutra have ruksha and tikshna properties by these properties Gomutra counter the Ama formation in the body which is the main pathological factor in the disease Amavata.we had slight change in the vasti composition by adding 100ml Eranda mool kwatha.Eranda is Ushna and madhur by these properties Eranda mool control both pathological factor that is Ama and vata. PachanKarma will be carried out with Nagar + Gokshurkwath 50 ml twice daily for 3 days and then Sarvanga Abhyanga Swedana/Balukaswedana will be carried out for next 3 days and then Virechan karma will be with Eranda tail 30ml added to Haritaki kwath 50 ml .After that Vaitaran Vasti and will be carried out for yoga regimen. CONCLUSION: The result suggest VaitaranVasti after Virechan karma is effective in the management of Amavata.
