Storage Media used for Avulsed Teeth: A Review

Abstract

Avulsion of permanent teeth is one of the most challenging acute oral traumatic injuries, for which a prompt and correct emergency management is very important for the best outcomes. Reimplantation of tooth is a choice of treatment since it restores esthetic appearance and occlusal function without any untowardly behavioural impact. Treatment outcome depends on several factors; in which transport media used to carry the tooth, is the most important. In present review we have discussed various storage media used for avulsed tooth.
