Carbohydrate Deficiency

Carbohydrates are preferred source of energy, its deficiency leed to utilization of protein and fats for energy. Human body in deficiency will make glucose from other sources and use them for energy like in Ketosis which occurs in absence of carbohydrates. Regular consumption of fruits, starchy vegetables prevent ketosis which can be harmful. As a result, it can be stated that some whole grains, as well as a large number of fruits and vegetables, should be consumed. and legumes to meet daily needs (35 g/day for men and 30 g/day for women).
