Strength and Weakness in Healthcare Leadership: A Scoping Review

Effective leadership can significantly result in positive benefits in the healthcare system by improving the quality of care. This study aimed to determine Strengths and weaknesses in healthcare management and to contrast various healthcare leadership theories using SWOT analysis. In the Research design, a systematic literature search was done from 2010 to 2019 through various database searches such as (Medline, Cochrane, EMBASE, PsycInfo). Studies that meet inclusion criteria related to the leadership qualities were included. The underlying SWOT can be consisting of Strengths: A team player Confidence. Weaknesses: Being too honest with feelings, Planning process difficulties Opportunities: Becomes an active leader in the process of planning, and new strategic leadership skills for managing nurses Threats: leadership positions significantly increase the workload of a nurse and Adverse economic conditions. In conclusion, by embracing a good team player in the healthcare leadership system, the quality of care improves since it motivates the healthcare workers. A useful skill in healthcare leadership is critical for the success of the organization since healthcare workers can easily integrate and communicate with each other in the organization. Therefore, it is critical to embrace practical leadership styles to healthcare nurses since it helps to improve the quality of healthcare to patients.
