Medicinal plants are very important, and they are very useful kind of the gift of the nature. From the time remote, the plants and their various parts have been used for a variety of purposes. The development of the civilization has been correlated with the development and the utilization of the plants through various means. They are major sources of the medicines. In this research paper, we have worked on the preliminary phytochemical investigation of the stem powder of the Anogessus pendula by various solvents systems. Plant metabolites are of very diverse kinds and they are utilised for very different functions in the plants. They are the sources of various kinds of the drugs. Here we try the preliminary testing and we focus on the exact nature of the metabolites which are present abundantly in the tree. There are many tribes living in the forests for the several purposes; they are using the plant parts such as the leaves, stem and the bark from the treatment of the many kinds of the diseases. Here we try three solvent systems such as the methanol, water and the ethanol for the extraction of the metabolites. We observed that some of the metabolites are present in abundant and some of the metabolites are lacking. Overall, the investigation helps in the elucidating the exact medicinal nature of the tree.
