This overview of the immune response provides a glimpse of the complexity of the interactions between the cells and mediators of the immune system. The recognition of the innate immune response by microbes and foreign substances leads to the induction of inflammatory and adaptive immune response. when oxidative stress increases, it affects our vital processes such as glucose homeostasis, cellular life-span and inflammation, which contributes to the pathogenesis of many diseases including atherosclerosis, Ischemic Heart Disease, Diabetes mellitus and neurological disorders, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis etc. in this review we will focus on mechanism and function of various immune cells, cytokines and Immunoglobulins.
