Skin hydration and emolliency levels are the two important aspects of skin. The balance of these shows the skin integrity. The water and oil level present in skin i.e., in stratum corneum determines the hydration and Emolliency. There are various methods present to measure moisture and emollient levels. Measuring oil and moisture level of skin is simple and reliable method to understand the variations in the skin when treated with test products. in the current study Lippu ointment and market sample was tested for their efficiency in maintaining the skin moisture and oil levels. The study proves that Lippu ointment is effective in maintaining the hydro-Lipo balance and hence will be very useful in dry and atopic skin conditions. Study details are mentioned in this paper.
