A Community Based Cross Sectional Study on Common Menopausal Symptoms in Northern Indian Population

Abstract


According to Indian Menopause Society research, there are about 65 million Indian women over the age of 45. The present observational, cross-sectional study was carried out in rural women (n = 220) in the district of Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, to evaluate the common types of menopausal symptoms. The mean age of the study was 51.13 years. The majority of the patients were in age group of 50–55 years which may be treated as high risk of menopausal age group. The mean age of menopausal patients was calculated as 51.13 years. The percentage of patients according to various symptoms was recorded in paper.
