Abstract

Wound healing is an important but complicated process in humans. It consists of a multifaceted process governed by sequential yet overlapping phases including hemostasis/inflammation phase, proliferation phase and remodeling phase. Much effort has been focused on wound care with an emphasis on new therapeutic approaches and the development of technologies for wound management. Wound healing is a continuous process and divided into four phases. Regeneration and tissue repair processes consist of a sequence of molecular and cellular events which occur after the onset of a tissue lesion in order to restore the damaged tissue. The present article was aimed to highlight the summary of wound with special reference to wound healing physiology and general measure of wound management.
