Assess the Physical, Social, and Psychological Impact of Corona Viral Infectious Spread Among the General Public

Abstract

Corona, the infectious viral spread has brought many changes in our life. The physical, social and psychological impact due to long lockdown. Most of the time depression, isolation, and experiencing loneliness worsen mental health as well as physical health. The study aims to assess the physical, social and psychosocial impact of corona viral spread among the general public. The descriptive survey design and non probability purposive sampling technique was adopted. The data were collected by using a demographic variable proforma and the structured rating scale of physical, social and psychological impact of the general population through e-mails and what’s app. The outcome of the study conveyed that half of them (50%) had excellent physical impact, majority of them (44.78%) had very good physical impact only few had (5.22%) had good physical impact none had poor physical impact and the mean score was 28.09 with standard deviation of 9.77. The social impact result revealed that half of them had a moderate impact (50.43%), 42.61% had a mild impact and only 6.52% had a high impact. The mean score was 26.85/80 with an SD of 9.70. In the psychological impact more than half of them (51.30%) had a moderate psychological influence. (44.78 %) of them had a mild impact, only (3.91%) had a high impact, and the mean score was 31.81 with the SD of 13.61.
