Abstract

ABSTRACT:

Neuroendocrine tumors of the oral cavity and jaws are an extremely rare finding. Most have been non-functional in nature. Lung is the second most common location and causes secondary metastasis in the oral cavity. However, they are slow growing and have no severe clinical effects as pain or paresthesia and mimic benign lesions. This article presents a case of high-grade neuroendocrine tumor of the mandible which in turn metastasized from the lung.

Key Words: Neuroendocrine tumor, pulmonary neoplasm
