There is complete cessation of functions of the brain, the heart and the lungs, so called “Tripod of Life” which maintains life and health. Unknown cases refer to those cases where the identity of the patients could not be made. This may be due to the fact that most of these cases were admitted by the police from road side or by other persons in a state of unconsciousness.
