Urinary Tract Infection (Tadiya-e-Majra-e-Baul) in Unani System of Medicine

Abstract


In classical Unani system of medicine Tadiya-E-Majra-e-Baul. (Urinary Tract Infection) comes under the heading of Hirqatul-baul (burning micturition) which is caused by obstruction in Urinary Tract due to stone, Jisme Gharib (foreign body) Ghaliz Ghost (Badgosh), Hamal (Pregnancy), and Characterized by frequency of micturition, urgency of micturition, burning micturition and anuria . It is an Unani Medicine of Shora Qalmi, Rewand Chini and Kababchini. Having safe and good result in management of Tadiya-e-majra-e-baul as per clinical unani books Shora Qalmi, Kababchini, Rewand Chini have urine alkaliser, Diuretic, and Antiseptic property. The effect of above mention drugs needs scientific evaluation. According to disease data the definition of microorganism. (Tadia-e-majra-e-bol) denotes in which presence significant number of micro-organism in any portion of the urinary tract. The word uncomplicated indicates where there are no structural abnormalities, no calculi, no renal function impairment and no associated disorder, which impairs defense mechanism. Urinary tract infection encompasses a spectrum of clinical and pathological condition involving various part of the tract. The syndrome ranges from asymptomatic bacteria to pyelonephritis. Micro-biologically urinary tract infection exists to when pathogenic organism is detected in the urine (bacteria) or they may be infection of organ for e.g. urethritis, cystitis, prostatitis, and pyelonephritis etc. At any given time, due to the presence of these organisms the patient may be asymptomatic or symptomatic may spread to any other part of the tract. In any individual case it is difficult on clinical ground to detect the extent of the invasion of various. Infection of common infection urinary tract infection. Approximately 15%-20% of women with otherwise normal urinary tract will have at least and 10%15% will have infection. Urinary tract infections conditions requiring.
