Paramount aim of Ayurveda is Sawasthasya Swasthaya Raksanam. For the gratification of this goal there are different concepts in Ayurveda and Ratricharya, is one of them. Copious information is available on Dincharya but not so much on Ratricharya as a separate heading. But the author of latter century explained about it. Ratricharya is not merely Nidra or sleep but it included three sub-pillars of life i.e. Ahara, Nidra and Bhramcharya. Ignorance of night regimen is very common in the current scenario. There is no room for timely food and sleeping habits in today’s society especially in youngster’s life. Late to sleep late to rise is a part of fashion in 21st century. That’s why lifestyle disorders are the benediction of this century. So to avoid and understand all these problems present research work has been planned from Ayurvedic as well as modern prospective.
