Knee Osteoarthritis (OA) is a very common type of noninflammatory arthritis in weight bearing joints. It affects both soft hard tissues to the particular joint. OA can occur at any age, but it commonly starts 50s. It affects mostly female than male. The prevalence is 10% in male and 13% in female of 60 years of aged population. This case deals with a diagnosed case of bilateral knee osteoarthritis in a 63 years old female. Patient had been suffering from pain and swelling in the both knee joints since 2 years. Pain was aggravated by walking, long standing. She went for allopathic conservative treatment but there was no complete relief as per the patient. Rather it had been aggravated rapidly since last 3 months. So for the management she came to Out Patient Department of Panchakarma, Rishikul Campus where three sittings of local application of Mustadi Upanah on both knee joints was performed. After three sittings, she got significant relief in her complaints. Also marked improvement was noticed in regular day to day activities. The assessment was done based on both subjective as well as objective parameters after each sitting. The study reveals that Mustadi Upnaha provided a significant relief in the management of the symptoms of knee OA in this case.
