Abstract

In Ayurveda, we emphasized for extra care of pregnant women during pregnancy along with medical treatment and care of Sutika Jwara, Yonibhramsha, Yonikshata etc. after delivery under the category of Sutika Rog or Sutika Vyapada. Sutika Rog mainly occurs because of aggrevation of vata dosha. In Ayurveda, we find various management of Sutika (Puerperal Women) in different classical text, but detailed description is given by Acharya Kashyapa. This study tries to understand the concept of Sutika w.s.r. to Sutika paricharya for easy understanding of Sutika roga physiology and pathology which will help further in treatment aspect.
