Peripheral Ossifying Fibroma: A Case Report

Abstract

Peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF) is a fibromatous growth of the gingival. POF is a non-neoplastic enlargement of the gingival with randomly distributed calcifications or ossification, bone destruction and tooth separation; these findings may not be evident in all cases particularly in the initial stages. We present two case reports treated in our hospital which presented as painless gingival growths with clinically benign behaviour.
