Integrative oncology is a novel form of medical theory which views cancer not merely as an accumulation of genetically transformed immature cells, but sum total of feelings, images, actions evoked by cancer. Not only by those afflicted with the disease, but also by their loved ones. This has been very well understood by Ayurveda. The important tool to manage the adverse reaction is Rasayana. Rasayana through their nutrient value improves digestion and metabolism and ultimately provides improved quality of tissues i.e., dhatus which are the main target of chemotherapeutic agents. The main aim of the study was to improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
