Abstract

 

Urinary tract infection is one of the most common infections encountered by attending physicians in different hospitals in India. The disease affects all age group and both the genders but females are more common victims. The prevalence of the disease increases with the presence of obstructive uropathy and some other medical conditions. This study was taken up to analyze the basic presentations of the patients suffering from urinary tract infection attending a homeopathic hospital along with an assessment of other significant co-morbidities and predisposing factors. A total of 206 patients (M=67, F=139) were enlisted in this study and a survey was conducted to assess the pre-disposing factors, co-morbidity and a wide spectrum of clinical presentations in the study population. Data has been presented wherever applicable pictographically.
